Getting started with your SafePal

← Back to all wallets

Own a SafePal? Open your model below. We explain how to confirm it is authentic, where to download the SafePal App, where the manufacturer's own manual lives and how to manage the backup, PIN code and firmware updates.

Never share your recovery phraseNobody at cryptomaan, BTC Direct or SafePal will ever request it, whether by email, phone or chat. And don't enter it when a site or app prompts you for it.
Download the SafePal App from safepal.com/en/download onlyAvoid finding the app through a search engine or an advert, as counterfeit apps that steal recovery phrases can appear there.

SafePal S1

1Verify first

How to tell if your SafePal S1 is the real thing
  1. Make sure the package is unopened and undamaged, and that the anti-counterfeit stickers on the box are unbroken.
  2. Turn on the device and pick a language: the 'Device Authentication' screen displays a QR code.
  3. Scan that QR code with your phone's browser and type the 6-digit code shown on the device into the verification page.
  4. The result tells you whether the device is authentic and has never been used before. No authentication screen, or the check fails? Then don't use the device and get in touch with SafePal.

Computer
Windows and macOS for firmware updates (via USB); usable on a computer with the SafePal Extension (Chrome, Edge and Firefox)

Recovering in another wallet

Restoring, or forgot your code?
